Dear SnapFiesta Customers and followers, our team is very happy to introduce you to SnapFiesta younger sibling : VintageFiesta! Now that we have officially launched VintageFiesta.com, we wanted to take the time to share this incredible journey with you.

Listening and getting ahead of customers needs is our added value at SnapFiesta. Fun, surprise, memories, magical decor are part of what makes an event not only great, but outstanding! We wanted to help you reach that with VintageFiesta.

VintageFiesta was born from the vision of combining the practicality of a modern photobooth set with the nostalgic whimsy of vintage vehicles.

VintageFiesta-VW022

Say Hello to Vinnie the bus! Vinnie is a funkadelic 1974 Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus. Because of type 1’s popularity during the counterculture movement of the 1960s the bus received numerous nicknames worldwide, including the Hippie Wagon. Measuring only 14 feet long, this self driving photo booth can fit in tight spaces both outdoors and indoors! Vinnie can fit 3 to 5 people comfortably but when the fun gets going the more people the merrier! Check out our VW Photobooth bus!

Fun Fact: The Type 2, along with the 1947 Citroën H Van, are among the first ‘forward control’ vans in which the driver was placed above the front road wheels!

Proudly introducing Gene, The Curtis Airstream! Gene is a 1949 Curtis Wright Clipper. Upon the post war era, the forties witnessed the early beginnings of new technologies. These innovations lead to the Curtis Wright Clipper, America’s masterpiece of lightweight and streamlined design. At 22 feet long, Gene is the perfect self-contained party lounge! The photobooth is an optional add-on for this particular trailer due to its spacious interior which boasts a kitchen with a refrigerator, a bar counter, a sink, seating area for 10, surround sound, TV and spectacular lighting to get the party started from the inside out! Check out our Retro Mobile Party Lounge!

VintageFiesta-Curtis007

Did you know: The Curtis Wright Clipper was built by war-experienced aircraft engineers and craftsmen! Talk about vintage travel luxury at it’s peak!

VintageFiesta-Airstream007 (1)Say hello to Hellen, the classiest Airstream in town!

Hellen is a 1959 Airstream Globester. In the 1950s the United States was the world’s strongest military power. Its economy was booming, and the fruits of this prosperity– suburban houses, and top of the line vehicles–were available to more people than ever before! The 1959 Airstream Globester is one of the rarest gems that emerged during that era.

Hellen is our premier VintageFiesta vehicle as it is not just a photo booth but also a retro lounge space! At 18 feet long it is perfect for outdoor events and large scale indoor spaces. It fits 6 to 8 people comfortably and as with our traditional open set booth, we use the same top of the line quality equipment that is guaranteed to have your guests look stunning!  Check out our Airstream Photobooth!

Fun Fact: The 1959 Airstream Globester model was only produced at their California plant for a few years and even then it was a special order. Hellen is definitely one of a kind!

Meet Terry the Taxi! Terry is a 1969 Austin fx4 London Taxi. The 1960s were a time of significant cultural and social change in London, and we have managed to secure a piece of history from  “Swinging London.” The taxi is a four door vehicle measuring at about 180.3 inches long, it can sit about three to five people comfortably. The photobooth design is simplistic, reminiscent of a vintage camera with an off camera flash. Check out our London Taxi Photobooth!

Did you know: The taxi was designed to maneuver through the tight streets of London so one of the more remarkable characteristics of the London Taxis its tight turning circle, it can make a U-turn on a dime!

The Sport of Love

This year at the SF Giant’s Winter FanFest, SnapFiesta was prepared to capture all of the love the loyal fans have for our 3 time world champions the SF Giants. We set up at the CSN news desk, ready to record all of the fun. What we had not expected however was to capture the love between two of our awesome photo booth attendees.

With a giant sign that read “Can I take you out to the ballgame forever, Will you marry me?,” SnapFiesta was honored to capture their love and our very first live proposal! The proposal took place on the sidelines after their photo was taken. Here is a play by play on how it went down. IMG_0412

After the couple took the photo with a sign arranged with CSN they went off like nothing happened. Then on the sidelines the magic happened. He took a baseball out of his backpack and lifted a beautiful engagement ring from it. The look on her face was priceless, and we were there to document the whole thing! You can check out the proposal video at the AT&T park on our Instagram.
Talk about a romantic Valentine’s weekend. We send lots of good luck to the lovely couple and hope we get a save the date in the mail pretty soon!

SnapFiesta @ SF Travel Partner Business Exchange

“To enhance the local economy by marketing San Francisco and the Bay Area as the premier destination for conventions, meetings, events and leisure travel.” –  San Francisco Travel’s mission was in full effect at this month’s Partner Business Exchange. Here at SnapFiesta we were super excited to sponsor and be a part of this outstanding event.

Partner Business Exchanges are a fun and relaxed way for members of the travel and tourism industry to network and mingle with one another. The exchange was held at The Wattis Room, at the San Francisco Symphony. Along with SnapFiesta other sponsors of the event included: The Wattis Room @ San Francisco Symphony, wines from Jax Wines, a duo from SF Event music, and Madame Tussaud’s life sized Tony Bennet.

At the exchange we were excited to introduce SnapFiestas’ newest offering,  our mirror photobooth!

The Mirror photo booth takes the photo booth to a whole new level, as it is an ornate mirror infused with technology. This setup fit the vibe of the event as the room is full of mirrors. The photos looked great with our black sequence background. The dazzling animations overlayed on top of the guests reinfections gave guidance to the photo taking process. As with every photo setup, the mirror booth from SnapFiesta can do onsite prints and social media sharing.

7Everyone had a blast with our cool props as the mirror photobooth captured all of their silly gestures, funky poses, and most importantly their ultimate selfies! The system is designed to fairly and accurately capture the scene in the reflection, so if you don’t see yourself in the mirror, you are not going to be in the shot.

The mirror photobooth is perfect for any occasion. It is designed so that we can customize animations and tailor the interaction with the photobooth to fit each event perfectly. The photobooth fun will be off the charts as guests experience the mirrorbooth in the most unique and engaging ways.

SF Travels Partner Business Exchange was the perfect occasion to present our MirrorFiesta photobooth! We were thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event and even more thrilled to bring the fun to a whole new level!

Science of Cocktails 2016

With over thirty stations and a multiplicity of spirit representatives SnapFiesta had a blast stirring things up at the Exploratorium’s 6th annual Science of Cocktails. Attendees enjoyed a variety of cocktail related demonstrations, an open bar, and a delicious collection of hors d’oeuvres.

There were chemist, physicists, master distillers, and mixologists that entertained guests by demonstrating the science behind their favorite cocktails. SnapFiesta was there to capture all of the fun as attendees learned how to turn beer bottles into recycled glasses and isolate their DNA using alcohol.

We set up our open-set studio and slow-motion video studio for guests to stop in and enjoy throughout the night. In the midst of the cocktail fun guests had a blast posing with our quirky props and getting a momentum photo at the photo booth. Guests also got to conduct their own three second experiment videos with our slow-motion studio, even abc7newsbayarea joined in on the fun!

Look back – Austin SxSW photobooth action

Our love affair with Austin started in March 2012, when we were first introduced to SxSW. Since our early days, we’ve planted our roots in Austin and have fallen in love with the city and the vibrant event scene. We’ve had the pleasure of working at various events around town for SxSW and sponsoring various music showcases that can  be found around town.

For those that have never been, SxSW is a once in a lifetime experience (or annual if you like), where you can go from listening to the most hyped bands of the year, to learning about the latest technology trends at MedTech Expo, to attending a movie premiere with Matthew Mcconaughey, to shooting high-resolution aliens in the latest Xbox games at the Geek Stage. No matter where you’re from or what you do, SXSW has something for you. We tend to do most events in the first week for the SxSW Interactive, and the festivities get even more fun with the music portion with concerts throughout the city.

This SxSW we are excited to roll out our newest service, the light painting photobooth. We are also going to be doing our awesome standard Austin Photobooth, Slow Motion Studio, Flipbooks, and our Instagram Printer. We are happy to take last minute events, just contact us!

Take a stroll down memory lane with us.

7. Product Launch

Corporate PhotoboothA photo booth at a product launch party is a genius idea, and the word is getting out there.. Imagine a customized backdrop, with the logo of the company, or a green screen where you can choose from 8 different images (the new product, the company brand name, company logos, etc…). And as far as the props go…how about everyone posing with the new product you are launching! Is there a better way to increase brand awareness than having every guest take home fun, crazy photos to show their friends? This is, bar none, the best, most original way to announce or celebrate the launch of a new product.

8. Company anniversary

A company anniversary is a great way to gather and celebrate with all your employees! And why stop there? Invite stakeholders, customers, and familes, and make it a real party with one of our signature Photobooths. Your audience will be happy to gather around the camera and celebrate a successful year. Be careful however – we guarantee they will ask for a photobooth the following year! Hint: create an anniversary logo that will be printed on the pictures.

9. Team Building

Companies are getting more focused about team building, as they should! Between increasing team cohesion, improving internal communication, and making employees more productive, team building is very much necessary in today’s business environment. The challenge is to find new, playful ways to bring employees together. And in this way, photo booths offer interesting challenges and provide fun games that people can play!

10. Festival

The keyword of any festival is : Entertainment! Well that’s perfect, because a photo booth moto is : “Have fun!”. Whether it is a music festival, a movie festival, or a beer festival, guests would love a little memento to bring home to celebrate good times. Capture the moment in a photobooth, and bring the festival’s energy back home.

No Budget Film Festival 2015

The 6th annual NBFF was held at The Gallery Theatre at Barnsdall Art Park in Los Angeles. This park sits right across the skyline from Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Sign, creating a beautiful space overlooking the city.

“The No Budget Film Festival (NBFF) challenged filmmakers to free themselves from arguably the most frustrating aspect of filmmaking—raising money. So, what do filmmakers do without a budget? They get creative and really resourceful” -cARTel

cARTel: Collaborative Arts Los Angeles is a Multimedia Production Company which creates accessible and immersive events to champion the development of exceptional artists. To sum it up, they put on some of the city’s most unique events for artists.

We used Green Screen technology in our photo booth to display the Blair Witch Project Woods backdrop behind festival attendees. The Blair Witch Project is a independent film shot on a low budget that turned into a box office smash, grossing over 248 million worldwide! The Blair Witch Project’s crew are just one of many supporters of NBFF Film Festival. Lots of spooky Halloween themed props helped add to the photo booth fun. Check out pictures from the NBFF Film Festival at this link.

The Top Photobooth Poses

When the camera focuses in some people feel awkward having their picture taken, others revel in the spotlight and attention a camera brings. Below are The Top Photobooth Poses so next time you are in the spotlight you wont be caught off guard.

PicMonkey Collage

The Miley CyrusThis  former Disney princess turned rebellious pop star has become synonymous with sticking her tongue out in photos. While not the most flattering pose it says “I know how to have fun” while also giving a “I don’t really care how I look” vibe.  Its a good pose choice if you have had a bit too much of the punch and want to show everyone how awesome you are.

KimThe Kim Kardashian– Kim is famous for being in front of the camera. She usually reverts to her oh so popular “Selfie Pout”. She is a selfie pro and the Lemme Take a Selfie song was probably written for her. When you aren’t feeling oh so fabulous when you are in front of the camera just do the “Selfie Pout” and you will find your confidence level rise.

The Sorority Girl- A whole separate post could be written about various poses that happen when groups of girls get together. I sorwill name all these posses with the title “The Sorority Girl” for sake of remembering them. Gravity seems to weigh on sorority girls a tad bit harder and the Sorority Squat is a common practice when posing for photos, why stand when you can squat and look smaller? The Elbow Pop is another common go to pose of the sorority girl. It shows off her tan and athletic arms, her envy worthy jewelry and her amazing side profile.

Last but not least when it doubt throw up a random hand sign, the Peace sign is always a safe bet.

Santa Monica Grand Tasting 2015

SnapFiesta welcomed summer in Los Angeles, on the Santa Monica Pier, for The Santa Monica Grand Tasting!  A delicious two day event, featuring Chefs like Eddie G and Susan Feniger, both Chefs whipping up tempting and savory dishes along with many other yummy vendors.

The event, put on by Barcelona Enterprises , raised funds for  The Chill Foundation. Chill LA has served over 1,000 underserved youth across Los Angeles, building self-esteem through board sports.

A few guests loved our props so much they left with wigs from our booth. I’m sure they were the highlight of whatever after party they were attending afterwards.

As the ultimate prop, SnapFiesta acquired the new BMW i8 in our photo booth. Now that’s exciting!

Check out pictures from the event at THIS link.
